“Dairy Vietnam” is an organization set up under the umbrella of the Vietnam Belgium dairy project. Dairy Vietnam aims to be an information source amongst the dairy stakeholders in Vietnam and enables a favorable environment for communication between the public and the private sector. Dairy Vietnam helps to discover the Vietnamse dairy sector by providing relevant information in Vietnamese and English through sector reports, a daily updated website, a weekly newsletter and a quarterly printed magazine “Milk Matters”. What is the cost for a Small Scale Sprinkler Irrigation? (click on the title to read the article)
What started 1 year ago with 8 pilot farmers grew out to a big success in the VBDP project. Already more than 100 dairy farmers in and around Hanoi have installed a small scale sprinkler irrigation system to irrigate Australian Mix, a mixture of tropical grasses and legumes. The average cost for 1000 m² is about 10 million VND. Curious to learn more about this system?

Dairy forage production: Change your mind! Change your ways! (click on the title to read the article)

Beste sympathisanten,
Enkele maanden geleden werd het project gecontacteerd met de vraag of we enige interesse hadden om een artikel voor Dimensie te schrijven. Inderdaad, het betere ontwikkelingsblad van DGOS. Vanuit het brede assortiment aan projectactiviteiten werd er al gauw beslist om ons nieuw melk collectie- en betalingssysteem te belichten. Verder werd ik vanwege mijn nauwgezette betrokkenheid bij dit collectie- en betalingssysteem gevraagd door mijn coach om samen met hem een artikel te schrijven. Het is dan ook met enige fierheid dat ik vandaag kan vermelden dat ons artikel: “Kwaliteit verzekert de toekomst van kleine melkboeren in Vietnam ” in het nieuwe nummer van Dimensie zal prijken dat volgende maand in de rekken ligt.

Vorig jaar bezochten we met het Vietnam-Belgium Education Project een project van de Franse NGO Enfants et Développement (E&D). Zij ondersteunen in Bac Ha een project waarbij ‘Child-Friendly School Libraries’ (kindvriendelijke bibliotheken) deel uitmaken van ‘Child-Friendly Schools’ (scholen gebaseerd op kinderrechten).
